CrossFit in Warsaw: how to drop in for a class in Wilanów
You are in Warsaw for a week, or you have just moved here, and you train CrossFit at home. You want one class, in English, at a box that is easy to reach and does not make you fill in a membership form. This is how a single class works at CrossFit Wilanów, an affiliated box in Miasteczko Wilanów, in the south of the city.
What “drop in” means here
You buy one class. It is a single entry, not a membership, and there is no contract. You buy it online in the eFitness app or in the browser, pick a class from the timetable and reserve a place. The pass is valid for one week, so you can buy it before you travel and use it on the day that suits you.
Classes run through the day from 6:00 on weekdays, with the most free places mid-morning, and on Saturday mornings. The timetable in eFitness is always current, so we do not copy times here. Each class is 55-60 minutes with a coach and at most 12 people.
Booking, step by step
- Download the eFitness app (App Store or Google Play) and search for the club “CrossFit Wilanów”. You can also buy your first class in the browser.
- Choose the class, pay and reserve a place for the time you want.
- If your plans change, cancel the reservation in the app at least one hour before the class, so someone else can take your place.
If the app gives you trouble, message or call reception. The numbers are on the contact page.
What you need to know on the day
Arrive 15 minutes early. The coach may not let in someone who is late, and the quarter of an hour is what makes the class work for you: the coach shows you the room and asks two things, how you train and whether anything hurts. Tell them the truth. A shoulder that was injured in spring is worth mentioning.
Language. Classes are in Polish. If even one person in the class does not speak Polish, the coach runs the whole class in English. So say you are visiting when you book or when you arrive.
What to bring. Comfortable sportswear, clean trainers to change into (the club asks for them), a water bottle and your own towel. Everything else, from barbells to jump ropes, is in the box.
Parking. The club is in the ALTO area, at Aleja Rzeczypospolitej 12, unit U1. There is an underground car park, 1.5 hours free, and reception validates your ticket.
What the class looks like
If you have trained CrossFit elsewhere, nothing here will surprise you. CrossFit’s own description of a first class is the same shape: a coach-led warm-up, 10 to 20 minutes on the skill, the workout of the day, scaling to your level. We add a cool-down and stretch at the end. The workout is the same for the whole room, with three versions on the board: Beginners, Intermediate and RX, which is the workout as written on the board.
Tell the coach where you usually train. If you are used to Rx, you will most likely start there, but the coach decides after the warm-up, from what they see, not from what you say. Log the score in SugarWOD if you use it: search for CrossFit Wilanów, and reception gives you the password.
If you end up staying
If you decide on the monthly OPEN membership on the day of your class, the cost of that class comes off your first OPEN instalment. Tell reception after the class that you are staying. The deduction applies to OPEN only, not to a 4-class pass. If you are in Warsaw longer than a week, a 4-class pass is the other option; reception helps you choose after your first class.
New OPEN members start with 12 weeks of care: a welcome pack, a coach who looks after you, a goal and three consultations with a body-composition scan.
Questions people ask
Do I need to show a certificate or a card from my home box? No. Come as you are, and tell the coach about injuries.
Is it safe if I have not trained for months? Say so. The coach will scale the workout. If you have a medical condition, talk to your doctor first.
Do you accept Multisport or similar cards? No. We do not accept benefit cards.
Can I bring a friend? Each person buys their own class. On the third Thursday of the month members can bring a first-time guest, see Friends with Benefits.
Ready? Buy your first class and pick a time. Reception is happy to help with directions, the timetable and anything else.
